40 Schloss Nymphenburg It was built in 1675 as a summer residence for the Wiesbacher family. Now the castle is one of the largest and most impressive residences in Europe and therefore a place of interest. In particular, the galleries inside and the garden are very lovely. The garden was created by Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell (1804). There are 1.5 km of long canals through the whole area and some hidden buildings at the edge. • www.schloss-nymphenburg.de English Garden The English Garden is one of the biggest public urban parks in the world. It stretches from the centre of the city to the Northern city borders. Its name refers to the informal style of the typical English Gardens in the UK. Of high aesthetical quality, the English Garden represents the first public garden in Europe.
