Hauptprogramm/Final Program DGKN23

PRESS INFORMATION ONLINE PRESS CONFERENCE DGKN23 The brain and its diseases: current research results on the function and dynamics of brain net- works “Brain network dynamics” is the focus of the Congress for Clinical Neurosciences 2023. To better understand the brain and its highly complex dynamic control functions, doctors and scientists are focusing on the networks within the brain, their structure and function, as well as their influence on the development of neurological and psychiatric diseases. The congress enables the interdiscipli- nary exchange of the latest research results on network dynamics in normal and altered brain func- tion, for example, in diseases such as a stroke, Parkinson‘s disease, or dementia. Another focus is the modeling and modulation of brain functions using the latest technical and digital processes. „We want to understand neuronal functions at all levels of complexity in order to develop innovative ther- apies against neurological diseases that affect a large number of people and will pose enormous chal- lenges to our healthcare system in the future,“ explains Prof. Dr. Andreas Engel, Conference Chair and Director of the Department of Neurophysiology and Pathophysiology, University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf. The DGKN online press conference will be taking place on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. Information on topics, speakers, and about the online accreditation, as well as current press releases on the congress can be found under: dgkn.de/dgkn/ service-fuer-die-medien Journalists can attend the congress free of charge.
