ECP 2024 Florence e Invitation Letter The congress organisation will be pleased to send a formal invitation letter to delegates requesting a respective docu- ment for visa purposes. You can apply for an invitation let- ter online during the registration process. The letter will be sent as an Email attachment. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commit- ment from the congress to provide any financial support. e Visa The entry formalities for Italy vary according to the country of origin. Congress delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to the local consulate of Italy in the home country. More information can be found at https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/e n/ . e Insurance The congress fee does not include insurance. All partici- pants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be pur- chased in your country of origin. e Currency The official currency of Italy is Euro (€). Congress payments will be accepted only in Euro. e Climate in Florence The climate of Florence is generally mild, and can be de- fined as transitional Mediterranean. The day-time tem- perature in early September ranges between 15 and 27°C. September is among the best times to visit Florence. There are many fine days, with pleasantly warm weather and cool evenings. There will be, however, also some rainy days. e City of Florence Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and is famous for its Renaissance architecture of noble palaces, squares and churches. With countless galleries and museums, Florence is the place for art and history-lovers. Millions of intellectuals, pioneers, traders and artisans have been pass- ing through Florence for centuries and have shaped the Tuscan capital. Florence combines modern and efficient congress venues with an exhilarating atmosphere. The congress venue is Fortezza da Basso, an example of Renaissance architecture, which is located in the historical city centre.
