ISMRC 2023 Final Programme

5 Welcome Address Dear Colleagues and Friends, We would like to warmly welcome you to the 13 th I nterna- tional S ymposium on M inimal R esidual C ancer (ISMRC) in Hamburg, Germany. The ISMRC meetings were initiated in 1996 and have es- tablished themselves as premier events focusing on biol- ogy, technologies and in particular clinical applications of “Liquid Biopsy” in cancer patients. Following a COVID-19 induced break, the symposium will return to its origin, Germany and take place as an in-person event from May 2 – 4, 2023. This international meeting is a great opportunity to gather for three days and share information on the most recent developments with leading researchers in the oncology, immunology, and liq- uid biopsy fields. The congress will include presentations on circulating nucleic acids (DNA, miRNA), Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs), and exosomes and other liquid bi- opsy analytes, with emphasis on clinical and translational studies and a strong focus on immunotherapy. The 2023 meeting in Hamburg is supported by the Euro- pean Liquid Biopsy Society (ELBS) a large consortium of institutions from academia and industry with the vision of bringing liquid biopsy assays into clinical practice. Plenary talks will be given by leading international experts in the fields of liquid biopsy, cancer immunology, metas- tasis research and immunotherapy. Besides these plenary talks, the ISMRC supports young investigators through selected oral communications as part of the plenary ses- sions and poster presentations.
