This category includes sessions, that pro-
vide concise information about relevant con-
gress topics or belong to established session
series.
plenary lectures
45 min
Eminent experts will present papers on the
congress’ main topics.
president’s symposia
90 min
The president’s symposia include events
which expand on and develop the congress’
main topic in a special way.
lectures
60 min
In this format, an expert gives a talk of about
40 minutes on a main topic of the congress.
Afterwards questions can be addressed and
discussed by the audience.
main symposia
90 min
The main symposia particularly reflect the
congress’ main topics.
state-of-the-art-symposia
90 min
State-of-the-Art-Symposia on the most im-
portant mental illnesses will take place with
in the framework of the DGPPN Congress.
discussion forums
90 min
A discussion forum starts with short state-
ments by experts followed by a discussion.
pro-con-debates
90 min
In this moderated discussion format, ex-
perts from a specialised field will debate
open questions regarding diagnosis, clinical
history and care of mental illnesses.
symposia
90 min
Each symposium at the DGPPN Congress 2015
is scheduled for 90 minutes which equals four
speakers chaired by two scientists.
oral presentations
10 min + 5 min
The oral presentations have been selected
by the Scientific Committee after abstract
submissions have been reviewed. The
90-minute sessions are mainly grouped by
topics and chaired by selected specialists.
The time slot for a single presentation in a
free communication is 15 minutes including
discussion time.
poster presentations
Each accepted poster will be exhibited at the
DGPPN Congress 2015. The posters will be
grouped into thematic guided poster tours
chaired by renowned specialists. The guided
poster tours will give the authors the oppor-
tunity to present their findings and discuss
them with the audience.
